Facebook invades YouTube territory with video streaming

Facebook users owed percentage of audio clips from some authorized content on the site, but not official video clips.

Facebook is going even further and has even received the first exclusive rights to the content of determined artists such as J. Blavin, Sebastian Yatra, Calibre 50 and Alejandro Fernández, among others. In some cases, Facebook would have chosen to pay video production prices and advertise videos prominently on its platform to increase audiences.

Facebook has been looking for years to inspire video entry on its platform and has experimented with all sorts of categories, adding original content and live streaming. Facebook had great potential when Microsoft recently shut down its Mixer streaming platform and advised users to transfer to Facebook Gaming.

Facebook said it was adding a new Segment of Music to Facebook Watch that would be more personalized to users’ tastes over time. Find the deployment over the weekend.
