Don’t show that anymore

The experimental Google Shoploop app will allow you to see new products that look good through browsing videos.

Once a product is discovered, Shoploop offers you the option to log in or buy it on the merchant’s website. Google said Shoploop is recently focusing on beauty-focused products such as makeup, skin care, hair and nails.

The app was encouraged through shoppers jumping between social media and e-commerce sites when they are looking for new products to buy, Lax Poojary, CEO of Shoploop, said in a blog post.

Google is the newest of many tech media giants to introduce video buying features. Facebook and Instagram added online retail outlets to their social media platforms earlier this year. Amazon uses its live streaming platform, Amazon Live, on its retail site. YouTube, which is owned by Google, also added buyable classified ads to its videos last month.
