BIDEN CAMPAIGN ACCELERATES AD PURCHASES AT KEY BATTLEGROUNDS
But Advertising Analytics, a leading ad tracking company, tweeted Wednesday that “in the absence of TV systems reserved today, @realDonaldTrump is currently broadcast. Election2020 #PresidentialElection”.
The move came here when Biden, the former vice president and alleged Democratic nominee, held positions this week in six key states on the battlefield: Florida, Arizona, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan, and Wisconsin. And on Thursday, Biden’s crusade promoted that it broadcast classified ads in Ohio, a 4-way swinging state that Trump won through 8 issues four years ago, but where recent polls show a melee for the state’s 18 electoral votes.
The former vice president’s crusade is stepping up his game, spending about $15 million last week and $14.5 million this week to broadcast television, virtual and radio ads on major battlefields. This is a dramatic construction of what they had spent before mid-July.
Noting the pause in The Trump Campaign Ads, Advertising Analytics Vice President John Link noted that “historically, this is an anomaly. We haven’t noticed a complete breakup like this.”
But Link also noted that it would possibly only be for a day or two and noted that Trump’s crusade already had $146.5 million set aside to run ranked Labor Day ads on Election Day.
The Trump campaign told Fox News “with the leadership change in the campaign, there’s understandably a review and fine-tuning of the campaign’s strategy. We’ll be back on the air shortly, even more forcefully exposing Joe Biden as a puppet of the radical left-wing.”
CHANGE AT THE TOP: STEPIEN TAKES OVER AS TRUMP CAMPAIGN MANAGER
Management came here earlier this month, when Crusade veteran Bill Stepien replaced Brad Parscale as manager of Trump’s crusade.
Over the past 24 hours, media outlets have highlighted Trump’s dark crusade on the Michigan airwaves, where the most recent opinion polls show biden had an advantage over a figure over the president.
Biden’s deputy press secretary, Matt Hill, tweeted Thursday that “as Donald Trump retires to key states like Michigan, @JoeBiden is spreading his media payment offensive to OHIO and highlighting his program #BuildBackBetter in new commercials.”
But Advertising Analytics Link reports that Trump’s crusade pledged to spend $11.4 million to run classified ads classified in the state in the fall. He says that would represent about 8% of the crusade’s overall advertising spend, up to about 3% of the overall ad spend they have spent to date to serve classified ads classified in Michigan.
While the president’s crusade is taking what may be a short break from career jobs on major battlefields, pro-Trump super PAC leader America First is spending about $23 million to run classified ads through late August in Arizona, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
