WATCH: Announcement by U.S. President TikTok Ceo

After President Donald Trump announced his goal of banning TikTok in the U.S., the front-leading executive of the social media platform, Vanessa Pappas, said the company would go nowhere.

“I need to thank the millions of Americans who use TikTok every day, bringing creativity and joy to our daily lives. We’ve heard your outpouring and need to thank you. We don’t plan on continuing anywhere,” Pappas said. said in a video posted on Twitter.

“TikTok is a position where creators and artists can make themselves explicit, express their concepts and join others from other backgrounds and we are very proud of all the other communities that call TikTok their home,” he said. “I’m also proud of our 1,500 American painters who paint on the app every day and the 10,000 additional jobs we’ll create in the country over the next 3 years.”

According to Pappas, TikTok recently announced the US Creator Fund, a $1 billion fund to “support” users. The purpose is to help users supplement their profits by creating content for the platform, Tech Crunch reported in the past.

“In terms of protection and security, we’re looking for the safest app because we know it’s the right thing to do,” he said. “So we appreciate and are there for the long term and continue to assign a percentage of your voice here and protect TikTok.”

However, the challenge with TikTok is the lack of intimacy and its deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party. These ties pose a risk to national security, especially as tensions with China continue after its attempts to hide Wuhan coronavirus.
