UAB Dotnuva Baltic, a subsidiary of AB Linas Agro Group, has acquired 87.5% of the stocks of the new precision agricultural systems UAB GeoFace. The remaining 12.5% of stock will be received in August. The amount of the transaction is disclosed through the agreement of the parties.
Dotnuva Baltic and specialists from the new geoFace company will jointly expand the GeoFace precision agriculture system. It is expected to be available on the market in the spring of next year, and will first be presented through two corporations offering facilities and goods to farmers: UAB Dotnuva Baltic and AB Linas Agro.
Farmers face major environmental demands, climate change and fluctuating production costs on one basis. The GeoFace Intelligent Agriculture System will help farmers handle these demanding situations more effectively, facilitate the development of plans and the execution of paints and the calculation of agricultural costs.
“By cooperating with farmers in all the Baltic states, we are seeing that the maximum complex is increasingly turning to rational agriculture. The objective of this agriculture is to achieve the maximum productive effects imaginable by saving fuel and energy and the use of less fertilizers and pesticides. Our purpose is to help farmers in the region achieve such efficiency. To do this, we’ll use IT responses that will mitigate the demanding situations farmers face and help them grow. We own several agricultural corporations and locate that adapted responses are occasionally necessary for each field,” says Jonas Bak-ys, Director of Business Development at AB Linas Agro Group and CEO of UAB Dotnuva Baltic.

The formula will also have other useful purposes for the farmer and agronomist, such as reviewing recovery maps, catalogs of plant cover products, pests, diseases and weeds, forecasting yields, examining soil layers.
Farmers with a precision farming formula will be able to monitor the stage in the fields, plan paints and plan production remotely, without leaving their homes.
