Most Americans continue to see political correctness as something that kills free speech in this country.
A new national telephone and online survey through Rasmussen Reports shows that only 26% of Americans who Americans now enjoy true free speech. Sixty-five percent (65%) they say Americans deserve to be careful not to say anything politically incorrect to avoid getting into trouble. (To see the wording of the survey questions, click here).

The survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted on July 9 and 12, 2020 through Rasmussen Reports. The sampling margin of error is 3 percentage problems with a nine5% point of confidence. Fieldwork for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is done through Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
