PARIS (Reuters) – French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire on Friday suggested to German carmaker Daimler (DAIGn.DE) to reconsider plans to sell his Hambach plant in France.
The car manufacturer said last Friday that it would look to sell the plant where it produces variants of electric motors and combustion of its two-seater smart cars from a review of its production system.
“Daimler will have to keep all functions open, adding site conservation,” the mayor said.
