The exclusive Market Tavern Bistro in Morristown has closed

Market Taverne in Morristown has closed its doors, another example of coVID-19’s devastating effect on the culinary industry.

The restaurant, an exclusive seasonal bistro of American dishes, served its last meal on August 2.

Owners may not be contacted to comment on the closure.

Market Taverne closed its doors from March to May because Gov. Phil Murphy closed all restaurants for dinner. When it reopened in May, it presented food and cocktails to take away. A note on the Market Taverne online page indicates that they expected to reopen in stages in the summer.

Market Tavern located at 995 Mt. Kemble Ave. It was once the site of Morristown Pancake House, then Dolce Vita of Nunzio, then La Campagna.
