NEW YORK (AP) – President Donald Trump said he would take steps to ban TikTok, a popular Chinese-owned video app that has been a source of national security and censorship disorder.
Risk occurs when Microsoft Corp. is in complex conversations to buy the Chinese app, owned by Bytedance Ltd., according to a user familiar with the conversations he spoke under anonymity condition due to sensitivity to negotiations. Microsoft declined to comment.
It’s not transparent if Trump would settle for a divestment as a concession. But there have been reports that america’s tech giants. And monetary corporations are interested in buying or making an investment in TikTok when Trump management turned to the app.

Something of this nature is rare. This usually happens when there are sanctions or other primary political actions.”
