Canvas Manchester, a concept of London’s Pickle Factory and Oval Space operators, would come with a 100-seat restaurant, a 400-seat music and occasion mastery and a personal member club on Oxford Road and a recreational program.
BeSixth has submitted an application to make plans to Manchester City Council to create the network living room in Circle Square, which is being developed through Bruntwood SciTech, the joint venture between Brunwood and the Legal and General fund manager.
According to plan, the 8,800-foot Canvas Manchester would have 3 different areas: Canvas Kitchen, Canvas Club and Canvas Events.
Canvas Kitchen is a 100-seat place to eat on the ground floor that would be open to the public seven days a week from 7 p.m. until four in the morning. The Canvas Club is a personal club for “affordable” members with a living room available day and night.
The site would be complemented by Canvas Events, a live music program and other occasions organized in an underground area with capacity for 400 people. The program would come with sessions on fitness and well-being, social activism, networking opportunities and workshops, as well as a bimonthly club and concert program.
It will occupy 8,800 square feet on the ground floor and basements of Retail and Office’s No. 1 Circle Square building and is expected to open in the 2021 theme to obtain consent to the plans.
The BeSixth team, founded through President Dean James and General Manager Gavin Aldrich, has introduced and operated or jointly operated sites such as Hammersmith Apollo, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Brixton Academy, G-A-Y Manchester and Ritz Manchester.
The company has recently operated The Pickle Factory nightclub and the Oval Space arts and occasions venue, either in east London. Canvas Manchester will be your first outdoor mission in the capital.

Bruntwood SciTech obtained approval in February for the most recent progression in Circle Square: a construction of 56 million pounds and 215,000 square feet on 1.2 acres of land on the former BBC site on Oxford Road.
