The Dirt: Spokane Falls Community College seeks to build a implemented fine art building

The new construction at Spokane Falls Community College is one step closer to its completion, according to a construction request filed with the City of Spokane last week.

The 57,000-square-foot, two-story construction would be on the north-minded appearance of the campus at 3410 W. Fort George Wright Drive. The design would sever the fine arts and photography programs of the university network, which lately are in separate constructions.

The proposed construction would come with classrooms, computer labs, several studios, a gallery and a center for occasions, etc., according to ALSC Architects, based in Spokane, which is designing the project.

According to the ALSC website, construction would provide the school with flexibility to fulfill the program’s conversion wishes in the future.

The allocation is estimated at $28.6 million for the application filed with the city. It is expected to be completed until September 2022, for ALSC Architects.

A new construction will be built at Playfair Commerce Park, according to a file presented to the city.

Playfair Commerce Park, developer L.B. Stone Properties Group LLC plans to build a 51,175-square-foot warehouse, Playfair 14, in N. Haven St., according to demand.

The contractor for the assignment is Divcon Inc., in Spokane Valley. Architectural Ventures, from Spokane Valley, designs the warehouse according to demand.

The allocation is estimated at $3.1 million, on the application.

Kg. Stone Properties develops, owns, and manages warehouses and commercial homes in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.

Playfair Commerce Park is a 58-acre site that houses several commercial buildings. Larry Stone, president of SCAFCO Corp. and L.B., based in Spokane. Stone Properties bought the city site in 2010 and began expanding it by adding roads, landscaping and infrastructure, as well as buildings.

The site assets of the Spokane Interstate Fair until 1930, when the deal just sold it to the city. The assets later hosted the Playfair Race Course and Ferris Field, where the Spokane Indians once played baseball.

Baker Construction and Development, based in Spokane, has filed an application with the city to redevelop the area in a new medical building, according to a request filed with the city.

The renovated 5,900 square feet at 613 S. Washington St. will have a Vivacity clinic, depending on the app.

It is known whether Vivacity is a component of the Vivacity Care Center managed by Premera Blue Cross and Vera Whole Health, based in Seattle.

Ankrom Moisan Architects, based in Seattle, is designing the project, which costs $1 million, depending on the app.

Baker Construction and Development built the 21,300-square-foot two-story medical construction after demolishing a design that in the past housed United Health Credit Services and other tenants.
