Former Vice President Joe Biden attacked President Donald Trump’s handling of civil unrest caused by police violence in a speech Monday afternoon in Pittsburgh, his first face-to-face crusade on the road since the Democratic National Convention two weeks ago.
The Democratic nominee said Trump had intensified violence on the streets of Kenosha, Wisconsin and Portland, Oregon, in any of which there were violent clashes that resulted in fatal shootings last week.
“This president has long since lost all ethical leadership in this country. She can’t avoid violence, because for years she fostered it,” Biden said.”Possibly, pronouncing the words law and order makes him strong, but his incapacity.”calling their own followers not to act as an armed defense force in this country shows how weak it is.
But in particular, Biden, whom the Trump White House has accused of not speaking vigorously enough about the violence, began by saying, “I need this to be transparent.I’ll be transparent about all this. The riots don’t protest. Looting is not a protest.Putting the chimney is not protesting. None of this protests. It’s anarchy. Clear and simple. And those who are prosecuted.”
“Violence will bring no change. This will only bring destruction. That’s not true in every single sense.Divide that unityes, destroys businesses, only harms families who run and serve the community. It makes things worse in all areas, no”.better. No, that’s not what Dr. King or John Lewis taught. And it has to end, ” he continued. The fires are burning and we have a president stoking the flames.”
Biden’s speech aims to strongly counter Vice President Mike Pence’s statement at the Republican National Convention last week that you will “not be in Joe Biden’s America.”
“Do you think there will be less violence in America if Donald Trump is re-elected?We want justice in America.
Biden hit Trump and Pence for criticizing “Joe Biden’s America” in criticizing the house for the irony that it’s his administration that’s in charge of late.He said the violence they condemned worsened as Trump “fed each and every fire.”
“It is destined for this country, but instead it encourages chaos and violence. The undeniable fact is that Donald Trump has failed America. So now he’s looking to scare America,” Biden said.
“The violence we see in Donald Trump’s America. These are not photographs of some Joe Biden imagined in the future, but of Donald Trump’s America today. He helps keep telling them that if I was just president, it wouldn’t happen, if I were president, I’d keep saying that if I were president, you’d feel safe. He’s president, whether he knows it or not and it’s happening,” Biden said.
Biden has attempted to link simultaneous crises (the COVID-19 pandemic, the economic consequences of the pandemic, and police violence) with Trump’s mandate.
“The non-unusual thread? An outgoing president who makes things worse, doesn’t make them better,” Biden said.”An outgoing president who sows chaos to bring order.”
Referring to what trump called the great mismanagement of the coronavirus crisis and the resulting crippling economy, Biden said Americans were concerned about the president’s inaction.
“Mr. Trump, do you need to talk about fear?Afraid they’re going to have COVID. Afraid they’re going to be in poor health and die and that’s largely due to you,” he says.
Biden also took an accusation of a vital triumph for the state battlefield of Pennsylvania.
“I forbid fracking. Let me repeat: I forbid fracking. No matter how many times Donald Trump has been a liar about it,” Biden said.
As Trump prepares to make a stopover at Kenosha on Tuesday, Biden, who lately has no plans to go to Kenosha, is taking away the warmth of The Trump White House.
“This president is running. He showed up this weekend in Texas. She performed in Louisiane.Il appears in Kenosha,” press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said on Fox and Friends Monday morning.”This president is reopening the country, appearing his respect for other Americans through truly going to places where Americans are suffering.
“Democrats are ignoring the state of Wisconsin as they did in 2016,” he added.
In 2016, Trump was the first Republican to win the state since Ronald Reagan did so in 1984.
