Tributes to the black panther actor have flooded social media since he delivered his death from colon cancer on Friday night. He’s 43.
“We’re dedicating tonight’s exhibition to a guy whose spirit has touched such shy people,” said Keke Palmer, host of MTV VMA.”He’s a genuine hero, not just on screen, but in everything he’s done.”
The show’s first break also paid tribute to Boseman, with a one-minute announcement highlighting his “Best Hero” speech at the 2018 MTV Movie Movie and TV Awards, Variety reported.
Viewers would possibly say that Boseman temporarily handed over his statue of praise to James Shaw Jr., who foiled an armed man at Tennessee Waffle House in April this year, the entertainment site reported.
Other credits in Boseman’s film included, but were limited to, “42,” “Marshall” and “Da five Bloods.”
