A Shaw Theatres spokesman said the road to Ward 6 was evicted at 4:45 p.m.
Film crews treated injured consumers until paramedics arrived, he said.
Singapore’s civil defence forces said two other wounded were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Details of his injuries were not available.
No injuries were reported.
The cinema, located on the fourth floor of Nex, will remain closed until further notice, said a spokesman for Shaw Theatres, who added that the company works with owner Gold Ridge and the government to investigate the incident.
The Straits Times understands that all theaters have been evacuated and have asked consumers for their names and tactile data to refund tickets.
A photo on Mustsharenews showed that the moved fan landed on several rows of seats on the right side of the movie theater.
In one photo, a visitor noticed mendacity on the floor while another showed a user tied to a stretcher.
A Building and Construction Authority (BCA) spokesman said it sent an engineer to investigate the fallen air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation duct at 6.30pm.
BCA told the construction owner to appoint a professional engineer to conduct a detailed investigation of the incident, assess the status of the other pipes at the cinema, and take corrective action.
A filmmaker, who sought to be known only as Ms. Vivian, watching the film Tenet with her circle of relatives in some other movie theater when the incident occurred.
“The lights turned on suddenly for a few minutes, but the film was still playing, so we thought it’s nothing serious. But when the film suddenly stopped, some other people got a little angry and things got a little chaotic.
“Finally, they told us to evacuate,” the 24-year-old banking analyst said.
