Lewandowski, 32, has no plans to slow down in the short term and feels “better now than at 26.”
Addressing bavarianfootballworks.com, Lewandowski said, “I don’t think about the end of my career, I’m not 32, I feel better than when I was 26.”
His comments on a wonderful season with Bayern, who won a prestigious treble, topped with an epic Champions League win over PSG this month.
He also achieved wonderful private feats last season, completing the most sensible goalscorer in the Bundesligia and Champions League, with 34 and 15 goals respectively.
The Polish legend also scored six goals in the German Cup, which lifted his total season to 55 goals in 47 games with Bayern.
The distinctions did not end there for Lewandowski, who also was crowned as player of the season in Germany.
But he missed the Ballon d’Or, which was discarded amid the coronavirus pandemic, which he feels should have won easily if given the chance.
When asked who would win the award, Lewandowski replied with a little luck: “Myself” speaking to Polish news site Sportowe Fakty.
He added: “We won everything we could with Bayern alone.In all competitions: Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League, I am the most sensible goalscorer.”
Lewandowski scored more goals than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in Europe last season, of which they would have been his main rivals if the awards had been won.
With the maximum of his teammates in the final phase of his careers, Lewandowski is in a position to start a new phase of his own.
Retirement is not even a last-minute mirror image for the Polish-end machine, which believes it can compete at the highest point for at least a decade.
When asked how long he thought he had left to play, Lewandowski told Sky Sports Germany: “Ten years?Maybe eight.
“The existing contract is the last. I need to play longer.And I need to do even more, my colleagues in Munich think the same way.
