“What [Democrats] must do, and very, very, very, very vigorously, what they must do is rescue the cities ruled by the Democrats and that they have done for many years. And those cities and states have done it very wrong, and they desperately want to be effective for that.”
The reporter asked again, “What are you doing as president to make sure there are free and fair elections?”This time, Trump lied about the risk of foreign interference in the postal vote, selling a ridiculous and transparent story that he did answer. The question.

“So everyone is communicating about “Russia, Russia, Russia.”They communicate on “China, China.” They are communicating about all those other countries that are coming forward and organizing our elections, which is not true. But what they are doing – what they are not communicating about are things like universal, very vague ballots, which, frankly, Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, all the countries we read about, about which we hear and, in some cases, about those who write, from an intelligence point of view, those countries can send those ballots or print fake ballots and they are dealt and have a day on the ground.”
So the White House reporter tried again and asked, “What are you doing to make [the election] free and fair?”This time, Trump tried to respond by complaining about his predecessor.
“Well, we were very strong. Now, if you remember, President Obama was informed of Russia’s lifestyle through the FBI in September. The elections were held in November. President Obama doesn’t have to do anything. It’s a lost fact, very heavily informed what they were going to do — and President Obama did nothing.”
This is, of course, absolutely false. It is not a “lost fact”; it’s a made-up nonsense.
But as vital as those main points are, let’s not lose the forest through the trees: Trump is convinced that his own country will soon revel in “the greatest electoral disaster in history,” but when asked about his own efforts to save him from this systemic failure., the president has nothing to offer.
As we’ve discussed recently, those aren’t sensitive issues, what are you willing to do to save them from the crisis you see coming?Where’s the White House plan?
The answer, of course, is that Trump sees some usefulness in chaotic circumstances. It is no secret that the president is eager to undermine public confidence in his own country’s electoral system, and with the Republican price ballot most likely to lose,” a fraudulent mess “can be exploited, either to defy the effects or to serve as an excuse for defeat.
There is no other policy area in which this is considered acceptable. If a category five hurricane hits a primary U.S. population center, it will be a nuclear hub.A president may simply not get away with saying, “This may be the biggest herbal crisis in history., but I can’t do anything.” If the monetary sector were on the brink of collapse, a president would not dare say, “This may be the biggest economic crisis in history, but I’m willing to sit down and let that happen.”
But Trump believes his own country will soon revel in “the biggest electoral crisis in history,” for which he has no solutions.
This is post-political governance at its finest absurd expression.
