Is it too early to start waiting for Christmas in advance?
Some would possibly say so, but Dolly Parton is already in a bad mood and expects others to sign up for it after hearing her new edition of “Mary, you know that?”
The song, written through Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene, was first recorded through Michael English on their self-titled debut solo album in 1991 and, over the years, there have been many versions of this song, delivered through Jordan Smith Array Pentatonix, Cee.Lo Green, Clay Aiken and Kenny Rogers a duet with Wynonna Judd, among others.
However, the Parton edition is resistant to the most productive of the most productive, and can in fact enter the Christmas mood, even if there are still months to go until December 25.
“Mary, did you know?” It’s one of the most amazing, sweet and productive written songs I’ve ever had the chance to sing,” Parton says. When I recorded it, I got really excited. That’s what Christmas is to me and I’m proud to be able to sing it on my next album.”
You can pay attention to the song on the same old streaming sites and on YouTube.
“Mary, did you know?” it is the first single from the upcoming release “A Holly Dolly Christmas”, the first Christmas album by country music legend in 30 years. The album, starring Parton with Michael Buble, Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus, Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson and his brother Randy Parton, will be released on October 2.Pre-order the album, plus a lot of merchandise from “A Holly Dolly Christmas,” https://shop.dollyparton.com.
