Matteo Berrettini produced a memorable shot at the US Open, and a reminder that tennis regulations don’t say the ball has to pass over the net.Around the net, it’s fine, too.

Vasek Pospisil beat compatriot Milos Raonic 6-7 (1), 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-3 to advance to the 3rd US Open.
Pospisil has been strong since returning from surgery last year on a herniated disk and helped Canada succeed in the 2019 Davis Cup final.He has been strong in the last 3 sets to contain Raonic, the 25th seed.

Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin won her second-round test at the U.S. Open against unranked Leylah Fernandez 6-4, 6-3.
Seed Kenin, a No. 2 seed, had more winners than un forced errors and never faced a break point.The American has lost in the third circular at the 3-year-old Open and will leave to break that streak on Saturday.

Amanda Anisimova won a U.S. youth game, joining wildcard Katrina Scott 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 at the time of the U.S. Open.But it’s not the first time
