In recent years, Walmart Inc.(NYSE: WMT) has assembled a panel of experts to see which new toys will be on its Christmas wish lists.this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Instead, Walmart sent the toys to dozens of young people for review at home.The paintings are now complete and the company has compiled its list of qualifying toys for this year’s holiday season.This year’s list is divided into 3 age groups: two to four, five to seven years, and 8 to twelve years.They are also divided by gender.
Walmart has added a virtual toy store called Walmart Wonder Lab that allows kids to unpack, review and play with this year’s most popular toys without leaving home.Wonder Lab created in collaboration with Eko Studios.
This year’s list of the most productive toys “reflects the replacement we’ve noticed in toy trends and behaviors” in 2020, according to Steve Ronchetto, Walmart’s vice president of toys.Toys created through influential people for children, interactive and educational toys, indoor entertainment without screen and game toys received the highest ratings.
One of this year’s toys is an Elsa Magic in Motion doll ($59.00) based on a character from the famous Disney film, “Frozen 2”.Two more sensible selections are a Lego Death Star Final Duel kit ($89.00) and Star Wars Dark Saber ($29.84) connected to the ever-popular Star Wars movies, also from Disney.
Popular high-tech devices come with Sensory FX ASMR Mega Bar ($19.88), which young people can record and read their own autonomous meridian sensory reaction (AMSR) sounds. The VTech KidiZoom Creator Cam virtual camera ($59.00) children from five to 10 years old) toddlers to create traditional videos with an HD camera, easy-to-use editing and creativity tools and a tripod/table selfie.
For some power-hungry outdoor games, the Jetson Mars Kick Scooter ($ 34.94) includes bright LED pitchforks and deck lighting fixtures, as well as LED lighting wheels. This scooter is for young people over five years old.
