In those days, The Winchester High School Canal announced a new online program for the music department.
All Winchester High School Canal academics, whether in-user and online, are encouraged to participate in the school’s online arts exhibition. “This is not a contest, ” said Todd Phillips, a music teacher. “There will be no first, moment or third place. It is an online gallery platform to showcase the varied technique of our academics to the artistic arts in their lives. “
Students are encouraged to submit projects in one of the following general categories: business, performing arts, programming, video production, visual arts, global languages, and written words. Each main category has indexed subgenerists on the Department of Performing Arts website:
The shipping deadline is Monday, October 5. The online gallery will be published CWPerformingArts. info the week of October 19.
“The purpose of this task is so popular in our school that there is now a category of staff, just as anyone linked to high school can submit artistic tasks they have used to help manage the effects of pandemic disturbances on their lives,” Phillips said.

The Wagnalls Memorial Foundation, home to the public library, has long been a center of art, education and culture in central Ohio. Throughout the year, visitors from all over the state and beyond Lithopolis attended laughter and attractive network progression events.
But when this year’s in-person art at the Wagnalls Festival had to be cancelled due to COVID-19, the Wagnalls looked for an alternative way to give artists and craftsmen the opportunity to showcase their skills and the public the ability to be more informed. about the artistic skill discovered in Ohio. The result is the Wagnalls artists’ video series: a new addition to the library’s virtual file.
“This year’s occasion was the organization of 3 arts education activities: two for young people to disclose the benefits of art and the third designed to allow adults to realize an artist’s life and artistic process,” Larry Browne said. “When the pandemic forced us to cancel the occasion, we made the decision to turn what would have been from face-to-face demonstrations into virtual presentations, imaginable thanks to the charitable help of the National Endowment for the Arts, Arts Midwest and the Ohio Arts Council.
The Wagnalls Memorial Foundation contacted local artists, craftsmen and artists to assess their interest in being part of the video series and gained an enthusiastic response, with more than 10 participants. From forging to ceramics, from oil to local musicians, the series shows the artistic skill of local artists, craftsmen and artists through the appearance that they participate in the artistic procedure while sharing the paths they have followed towards their selected artistic or artisanal discipline.
“The Wagnalls artists’ video series is just one of many tactics in which the Wagnalls Memorial Foundation supports and encourages the infusion of the arts, culture and humanities into the community,” Larry Browne said. “We are pleased with the series and grateful to the artists, craftsmen and artists for sharing their stories and giving the public the opportunity to be more informed about the artistic and cultural diversity of the region.
