President Trump travels to Jacksonville on Thursday to avoid campaigning

President Donald Trump’s crusade has announced that he will travel to Jacksonville next Thursday at 7 p. m. Cecil Airport at 13365 Simpson Way.

Doors open for the occasion at p. m.

Registration must be made on the presidential crusade website.

Jacksonville and Duval County were a strong Republican region for decades in the presidential election, but in 2016, the county almost switched to Hillary Clinton. In 2018, Andrew Gillum won the county in his failed run for governor.

The city was also the proposed site for the Republican National Convention until a wave of COVID-19 cases in July led the president to replace the course.

So far, former Vice President Joe Biden has not scheduled any occasions in person in Jacksonville, his crusade has shown Jacksonville on virtual occasions, adding a roundtable back to classes that his wife, Jill Biden, celebrated with Duval’s leaders.
