Fashion presents the new ‘Zozosuit 2’

TOKYO (Reuters) – Online fashion store Zozo Inc unveiled on Thursday a successor to its “Zozosuit” frame measurement mix, one of a series of failed projects prior to the launch of founder Yusaku Maezawa, which promises greater accuracy in design and software changes.

The original Polka dot Zozosuit, which, when scanned with a smartphone, allowed users to download their measurements and order traditional clothing, attracted interest, but failed to generate sales due to small complaints.

Zozo, which is controlled through SoftBank’s home Internet business, states that the new “Zozosuit 2” tight suit has 50 times more markers, providing the superior solution analysis needed to present garments such as sportswear and underwear.

The fashion store said it is looking for partners and hopes to offer the dress within a year.

The generation of accurate and easy-to-use frame measurements has become a holy grail for online fashion stores looking to decrease their returns. The industry was stimulated through customer purchases at home from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Zozo already distributes the “Zozomat”, which can be used to measure feet for size recommendations.
