SOUTH NYACK – History Test: Who is Rick Astley?Or let’s play “Jeopardy!”: Who sang the 1987 song, “Never Gonna Give You Up”?
The sign of the historic village, Raymond Esposito Memorial Trail, meets both.
Instead of an old-fashioned nugget, other people who used their phones to scan a QR code on the interactive panels were given a video of Astley dancing and making a song his hit song.
Astley looks like a disguised link leading to the music video. When other people click on the unrelated link, the site contains a lot of the video clip instead.
The singer is a marvel of success for most, however, the meme that uses his video has gained ground as a web farce that has been known as ‘Rickrolled’. And it’s not the first: Rickrolling: 11 epic memes
It should be considered how this happened with the old signage of the village.
“We know the old mistake and we have to rectify it,” Mayor Bonnie Christian said in an email.
The urban dictionary defines “rickrolling” as an approach in which a prankster makes a false link. The joke is funny because of the terrible dance of this clip. Sometimes bartendering is more fun. More than a million people have enlisted and counted. “
The meme Astley was born from something similar called “rolling duck”, which became popular on the 4chan online page in 2006 and spread to other websites later that year, according to reports.

On friends of Nyack’s Facebook page, a poster, Kristy Leader, described that it was “rolled up,” suggesting that other people “scan this QR code for laughs. “
“It’s real. And also for words,” he said, adding a photo and a code from the panels. “Walk the path and see for yourself,” he says, adding, “Thank you SN for brightening my day.
