Jake Wilson of Trinity Christian Academy and Morgan English of the University School of Jackson are the winners of the Jackson Area Athlete of the Week ballot from October 19-24.
Wilson won 47. 8% of the boys’ votes with a total of 7,517 votes.
Wilson ran for 159 yards and landed on 14 hauls when the Lions defeated Jackson Christian 18-14. TCA (6-3, 5-2 DII-A) travels to Nashville Christian on Friday at Football Week.
Tyrik Pirtle of North Side moment with 4,484 votes (28. 5%) and 15,719 votes cast.
English won 49. 5 in line with the percentage of women’s votes with a total of 16,815 votes.
The English scored four goals and the Lady Bruins beat Silverdale Baptist 9-1 in the Quarter-Finals of Division II-A. Lady Bruins (16-3) face Christ Presbyterian Academy in Saturday’s Division II-A semi-finals at the Richard Siegel Football Complex in Murfreesboro. .
Hadley Mansfield of Crockett County, time in the girls’ vote with 14,644 votes (43. 1 percent). There were 34,000 votes cast.
