In the 1990s, it was not unusual to see decals on bumpers, window decals, T-shirts, bracelets and even billboards with the lyrics: WWJD.
What would Jesus do?
I imagine this after President Donald Trump, who believes he has a moment of popularity after Jesus (yes, he said it), condemned the physical care staff on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic.
I’m the good God, I wouldn’t do that.
National Nurses United published a report not long ago indicating that more than 1,700 fitness professionals have died from COVID-19 as a result of treating patients with the new coronavirus.
Doctors, nurses and their aid staff have been on the front line since the beginning of the pandemic, running tirelessly and enduring emotional and physical consequences, seeking to save lives, many lost their lives in the process.
And the president defamed them.
In a recent crusade event, Trump introduced a ridiculous and demystified conspiracy theory, stating that doctors exaggerate COVID-19 case and death reports because “doctors earn more and hospitals get more. “
Susan Bailey, president of the American Medical Association, called it a “malicious, outrageous and absolutely wrong accusation,” adding, “Instead of attacking us and making unfounded accusations against doctors, our leaders stick to science and urge us to adhere to the steps of public fitness that we know are running: dressed in a mask, washing hands, and practicing physical estrangement.
Many doctors also reacted. As a physician, he featured a long string on Twitter showing fellow physicians who died of COVID-19 looking at others.

All this happened when the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr. , falsely stated on Fox News that COVID-19 deaths were caused by “almost nothing,” while on the same day, more than 1,000 people died from COVID-19. thousand, and the new instances reached a record of nearly 100,000.
Add to that a Stanford University study that found that 18 of Trump’s election rallies have led to more than 30,000 cases of coronavirus and most likely caused more than 700 deaths.
Meanwhile, the president follows the path of the crusade, minimizing the pandemic and matching its popularity with that of
Trump said, “A friend of mine said, you know, the most prominent guy in the world. I said no, I’m not. No, I’m not. I’m not. I said, no, who’s better known than you. ” . “You are the most prominent guy in the world. What are you talking about? Who is the top standout?” I said, Jesus Christ.
His supporters did.
At this point in Trump’s narcissistic presidency, I’m not convinced that he really believes he’s in the place of the moment. I think pretending he’s not as popular as Jesus is closest to Trump will always be a place for humility.
Imagine a president who plunders frontline fitness professionals who take risks every day and then compares his popularity to that of the central figure of Christianity.
WWJD?
That’s not it.
