TWICE celebrates its anniversary, plays a new song before the album ‘Eyes Wide Open’

October 20 marks the fifth anniversary on which TWICE has entered the K-pop scene and the girls’ organization has taken the time to celebrate their remarkable career with a special live occasion for fans.

Prior to the special TWICE 5th Anniversary Live “WITH” event, the nine-member organization organized a special photo shoot, recorded video content and wrote non-public messages to their fandom – affectionately called ONCE – for the exhibition that lasted more than two hours across the screen, members observed their memories together, reacted to social media posts that enthusiasts downloaded over the years , played other games and presented special performances.

After spending just over two hours broadcasting with ONCE, TWICE directed a fan-favorite B-game, “Jaljayo Good Night”, a song rarely played and which is the last track from the band’s first full-length album, released in 2017. He brought another live marvel by presenting a new logo of the song “Say Something” that will appear on his Korean album Eyes Wide Open when it is released next week, on Monday, October 26. The elegant disco-tinged pop track, which ends with a super-satisfying saxophone riff that saw member Momo jump out of his seat – provides yet another indication that Eyes Wide Open will see TWICE adopt old-fashioned sounds for the LP and his single debut ‘I Can’t Stop Me’.

There is no doubt that TWICE had much to do before this historic anniversary.

In just five years, the ninesome has number one in female sales in Korea, with more than a dozen number one hits in Korea and Japan, and has sold stadiums in Asia and North America. 2020 has also become a special year for TWICE when they signed to Republic Records and won their first Hit on the Billboard two hundred when More

“UNO, it’s our fifth anniversary, thank you for staying with us and allowing us to share our music with you all this time,” the band said in an exclusive statement. “We are TWICE, thank you for your support, we will be TWO AND you will be ONE. We are delighted to see your reaction to our upcoming album and the title song “I Can’t Stop Me”. We hope you like them every day!”
