Almost the entire Democratic Congressional delegation in Florida sent a letter Thursday urging Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis to revoke his task of offering a sports blogger based in Uber, Ohio, to a state government knowledge analyst, while lawmakers argued that the post candidate – who has a history of spreading conspiracy theories on the Internet – is not qualified for the task and DeSantis is not qualified for the task. public health.
Kyle Lamb, 40, announced earlier this month that he had accepted a position of knowledge analyst in Florida, at least as far as paintings about Covid-19 were concerned.
Lamb has defended unfounded conspiracy theories that claim that the effects of coronavirus and statistics are disproportionate, which has led to growing popularity on his Twitter page, where he also posted a symbol Wednesday night suggesting that U. S. elections are manipulated.
Recruitment has been the subject of strong complaints from the clinical community, which DeSantis has continued to frustrate by suggesting that Covid is disproportionate, while necessarily lifting all pandemic restrictions in the state.
Lamb said he’s not an expert, and said on his behalf that “experts don’t have all the answers. “
The Miami Herald reported that Lamb was hired for an “entry level” position that, according to a DeSantis spokesman, would not only involve running with Covid-19 data.
DeSantis’ workplace did not reject a request for comment from Forbes.
“Since Lamb is an unconditional conspiracy theorist, his role as a member of his Cover-19 reaction team is inexplicable and tremendously irresponsible,” the letter says, according to the Herald. “We ask you to remove Lamb from this fundamental role.
10. This is the number of thirteen Democrats in the Florida Congress who signed the letter.
Florida is the largest state that has necessarily lifted all covid-19 restrictions, and DeSantis ruled in September that places to eat and bars could operate 100 percent of their capacity, while necessarily overturning all local communities that had to enforce hidden court orders. allowed local governments to continue with some limited restrictions on the ability of places to eat, a move Miami-Dade took after the announcement. Approximately two weeks after DeSantis lifted the restrictions, the instances began to increase particularly again, and the rate of new instances proceeded to increase since then, hospitalizations began to accumulate in October due and, like cases, continued to increase at a faster rate. Deaths, which are delayed in accumulation in other parameters, have not yet accumulated.
