WASHINGTON – While President Donald Trump denounces unfounded allegations of voter fraud to falsely claim that he was robbed of the election, he is primarily accused of activities in the larger cities of the primary states on the battlefield he lost.
But the accusations forget a point.
President-elect Joe Biden had almost the same result in Philadelphia, Detroit, and Milwaukee as Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016: Trump won more votes in Philadelphia and Detroit than he did four years ago.
Instead, Biden gradually expanded Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin by expanding his to what has become a new Democratic stronger: the suburbs and suburbs around the cities.

Trump lasted in cities in a fundraising email Wednesday, boasting that “Democrat-led cities like Detroit and Philadelphia, two of America’s most politically corrupt places, are to blame for the final results of this race. “
The allegations reflect the rhetoric Republicans have directed for years against Detroit and Philadelphia, predominantly Democrats with giant black populations, about their ability to hold fair elections.
The city-suburb distribution, however, shows that Philadelphia and Detroit did not “decide” the election. The same is true for Milwaukee. Even in Atlanta, which saw Biden’s strong involvement in Georgia, Democrats made even greater progress in their suburb.
In Philadelphia County, which includes all of Philadelphia, Trump won 128,000 votes wednesday, with more votes to be counted, or about 20,000 more votes than Clinton’s 109,000 in Philadelphia in 2016. He ran 4 neighborhoods in the city, two more than in 2016.
Biden won Philadelphia, 81% of Trump’s 18% vote, a margin less than Clinton’s 82% margin – 15% in 2016.
Also, the Biden team has an area two blocks from the White House, is that enough for an elegant transition?
Biden won 576,000 votes in Philadelphia, about 8,000 fewer than Clinton, which equates to a merit of 448,000 votes over Trump in Philadelphia, less than the 475,000 votes Clinton won in 2016.
In contrast, Biden amassed scores in three suburban counties around Philadelphia. During the campaign, Trump warned that Biden would “destroy the beautiful suburbs,” but that the electorate in communities that would reject that message.
Biden won the counties of Montgomery, Delaware and Chester in Pennsylvania, in the suburbs of Philadelphia, together 62% -38% over Trump, creating a merit of 269,000 votes in the 3 counties.
In 2016, Clinton won the same three counties by a smaller margin, but because the turnout was lower, she only had an advantage of 186,000 votes.
That means Democrats made a net profit of 83,000 votes this year in all three counties. Trump won Pennsylvania in 2016 through 44,000 votes. Biden’s lead in Pennsylvania this year is 54,000 votes and is expected to increase.
In Wayne County, Michigan, home to Detroit and surrounding communities, Biden beat Trump by 37 percentages, as did Clinton. Biden received 68% in Wayne County, while Trump won 31%. In 2016, Clinton won 66% compared to 29%, for Trump.
But in the city of Detroit, Trump won 5,000 more votes than 4 years ago, 12,600 in total, up from 7,700 in 2016; Biden won 1,000 votes less than clinton’s 234,800 in Detroit.

Instead, Biden’s biggest expansion came here in Oakland County, which includes the suburbs north of Detroit: Biden beat Trump there 434,000 votes against 326,000 votes (57-43%). Four years ago, Clinton defeated Trump 343,000 votes against 289. 00 votes (54% -46%) That’s a profit of about 54,000 votes for Democrats in this county alone.
In Washtenaw County, west of Detroit and home of Ann Arbor, home of the University of Michigan, Biden beat Trump by 101,000 votes, while Clinton beat Trump by 78,000 votes four years ago.
That’s a net profit of 23,000 for Biden. Trump’s margin on Clinton in Michigan in 2016 less than 11,000 votes. Biden won Michigan this year with 149,000 votes.
In Wisconsin, Biden has expanded its margins in the suburbs of Milwaukee and Madison.
Growth has been modest in Milwaukee, where Biden beat Trump with 3,000 more votes than Clinton in 2016.
But in the rest of Milwaukee County, which includes outlying areas, Biden beat Trump by 17 percentage points, nearly 37,000 votes, four years after Clinton won the same 10 percentage points, more than 19,000 votes. Democrats through more than 17,000 votes.

Biden won in Madison, the state capital and headquarters of the University of Wisconsin, through about 70 percentages and nearly 113,000 votes, while Clinton won through 63 issues and 97,000 votes. That’s a net gain for Democrats through nearly 16,000 votes.
Biden won the rest of Dane County, an open-air suburb of Madison, through 37 broadcast percentages and nearly 68,000 votes. Clinton won the rest of Dane County through 32 editions and nearly 49,000 votes. They generated a net profit for Democrats through more than 19,000. Votes.
To make Georgia blue, Democrats combined a high stake in Atlanta with explosive gains in the metropolitan suburbs around Atlanta. Georgia, where Biden leads, is still too close to calling and being the subject of a manual recount.
In Fulton County, Georgia, which includes Atlanta’s highest, Biden beat Trump with 240,000 votes while Clinton won with 180,000 votes, a net profit of 60,000 votes for Democrats.
Near Atlanta, Biden won DeKalb County with 50,000 more votes than Clinton in 2016 and Clayton County with 14,000 more votes.
In addition: a Georgia recount is planned in the Trump-Biden race and possibly one will happen in Pennsylvania, those are the rules.
But two developing suburban counties further from Atlanta, Gwinnett and Cobb counties, have leaned even further to Biden Collectively, Biden beat Trump through 132,000 in One Counties, while Clinton won them together through 26,000 votes. That’s a net profit of 106,000 for Biden. Biden.
Trump’s crusade has not been successful in court with his barrage of post-election lawsuits.
After promising “shocking” evidence of voter fraud in Michigan, the Trump crusade on Wednesday published 234 pages of affidavits from Republican observers who largely referred to a Detroit center where votes were counted by mail.
But the Detroit Free Press reported that affidavits focused more commonly on anecdotal court cases of Republican observers. Some felt intimidated by election staff whom they consider rude and cited what they believe to be suspicious behavior. Others said they were prevented from doing their job, because they were asked to stay six feet away. The allegations show no evidence of widespread fraud or serious misconduct.

In Philadelphia, Trump’s crusade falsely argued that Republican observers were denied access to see staff count ballots in the mail in Philadelphia. In fact, they were asked to adhere to social distance guidelines. In Trump’s only national legal victory for the crusade, a trial allowed its observers to get a little closer as Philadelphia continues to count the votes.
Trump met Philadelphia city commissioner Al Schmidt on Wednesday accusing him of refusing to see a “mountain of corruption and dishonesty” in a tweet. other people voted, for example, made up.
“I’ve noticed the utmost things on social media, making absolutely ridiculous accusations that actually have no basis, and seeing them spread,” Schmidt said. “I realize that many other people are satisfied with this election and with many others. people are not satisfied with this election. One thing I can’t perceive is how hungry others are to consume lies. “
He added: “I think other people should be aware that there are lies about bad actors. “
