(RTTNews) – The French concessions and structures company Vinci SA (VCISY. PK) revised its traffic forecast for 2020 on Friday, raising the effect of the national closure following the wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The corporate now envisages a minimisation of highway traffic of between 20 and 25%, in the previous view of a contraction of 15 to 20% during the year.
As soon as restrictions are lifted, traffic temporarily returns to regulatory levels, as was the case at the end of the first lockout in June 2020.
Like many European countries, France again imposed the national blockade on 30 October, which remains in place until at least 1 December.
Traffic on VINCI Autoroutes long-distance networks, which had recovered by nearly 2019 degrees during the summer, recorded a 19. 9% drop during the first ten months of the year until the end of October. Light cars fell by 21. 7% and heavy cars by 8. 1%. Strong economic activity has enabled the resilient movement of heavy cars.
After France entered its blocking time and related restrictions came into force, traffic fell by 48% in the week of 2-8 November, light cars fell by 57% and heavy cars fell by 3%.
