If you watch Justin Bieber’s new Rocky-inspired music video “Anyone,” you realize something is missing. Many things, in fact.
Most of the 26-year-old star’s tattoos, believed to number more than 40, do not appear in the images. The video shows the singer a blank canvas on his neck, chest, and abs as he channels Rocky Balboa into education and boxing match scenes.
On Saturday, January 2, Bieber shared a time-lapse video on his Instagram of him sitting in his underwear while masked makeup artists covered his tattoos with makeup. He wrote: “There are no statuses for #Anyonevideo. “
The “Anyone” music video features Zoey Deutch as Bieber’s love interest. The clip and his bachelorette were released during the New Years holidays after Bieber’s virtual New Years concert, which was filmed at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and streamed live. It is the singer’s first official solo concert since his Global Purpose excursion ended in early 2017.
“I couldn’t be more revered for being with so many amazing people tonight,” Bieber wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to everyone who made this incredible display tonight, my center is full of hope for 2021. “
