Former President Trump said Sunday that he had decided on a legal team, according to his office, less than 24 hours after several members of his legal team separated from the former president. Trump’s Senate political trial is scheduled to begin on February 9.
Attorneys David Schoen and Bruce L. Castor Jr. will constitute Mr. Trump, he said.
The news comes after Trump adviser Jason Miller shows Saturday night that South Carolina attorney Butch Bowers, who would be the lead counsel, and Deborah Barbier were no longer on his team. A Trump adviser said the exits were reciprocal.
