UK film and television production site Twickenham Film Studios has launched plans to renovate and expand its Richmond campus in south-west London.
A request for progress plans submitted to the Richmond Council; The company expects to start the structure by the end of this year and until October 2022.
The new elements of the site will come with a television studio with public participation; modernization of sound production studios; a momentary sound mixing suite to accommodate top-notary productions; and a new front construction with flexible workspaces, a boutique cinema, café and rooftop social bar.
There will be a renovation of the existing buildings on the site.
The allocation will be carried out through Piers Read and Jeremy Rainbird’s studio company, The Creative District Improvement Co (TCDI CO), with an investment from General Projects and the British Airways Pension Fund.
The paintings are part of TCDI CO’s 500 million pound study investment fund, presented last March, which aims to create 5,000 jobs and one million feet of production area in the UK until 2024.
“The physical improvement of the campus not only considers the legacy of the buildings, but will also see the continuation of our investment in amenities and world-class production flows focused on sound studios, symbols and films,” said one of them. Lee and Rainbird’s statement.
The design for the expansion created through the architect Guy Hollaway of Hollaway Studio.
“Working with cutting-edge fabrics like pigmented concrete will allow us to design a front with a playful facade that not only complements its old environment, but also pays for the trio of occasions that prevail beyond,” Hollaway said.
Twickenham Film Studios is managed through Time Space Studios, a subsidiary of TCDI CO.
