Spike Lee receives a primary honor.
American film publishers have announced that the administrators of “Da five Bloods” and “Do the Right Thing” will win the Golden Eddie Director of the Year award.

Lee will earn this honor at the ACE Eddie Awards, which will be awarded the most productive film and television edition of the year, which will be held on April 18.
Previous Golden Eddie winners come with Quentin Tarantino, Kathleen Kennedy, Christopher Nolan, Nancy Meyers, Martin Scorsese and more.
In a recent video for IMDb, Lee reflected on his 4-decade career and the call to audience in 4 of his films for “Wake up!”
The line appears in many of Lee’s films, from “Do the Right Thing” and “School Daze”, to the most recent “BlacKkKlansman” and “Da five Bloods”.
“I love the story, ” said Lee in the video. ” Many things, other people have not been taught in this country. I grew up learning George Washington’s story by cutting a cherry tree and I couldn’t lie. I never learned that,” he had 123 slaves.

He also praised Black Lives Matter’s uprisings across the United States over the following year in protest at blacks’ unfair and violent recourse through police.
“They’re on the street, shaking hands with their black and brown brothers,” he said of the friendly whites. “Or alone, where there are no blacks or maroons around him. It’s very comforting for me. “
