U. S. Senate approves Trump after January 6 violence

The U. S. Senate on Saturday acquitted former President Donald Trump’s accusations of inciting January 6 on Capitol Hill.

After a four-day impe trial, the 100-member Senate voted to charge Trump with 43 votes in favor, 10 votes less than the two-thirds majority required for the conviction.
