NASHVILLE – The Irish performed a series of impressive performances Friday in the Music City Challenge organized through Vanderbilt, recording 3 podiums even though the athletes competed in just 4 events.
In a loaded women’s weight throwing field, Rachel Tanczos achieved a position at the moment by recording a distance of 21. 95 m. The logo is The of Tanczos this season and propels him to 5th place in the country for the event.
Kenny Vasbinder finished on the podium in the five kilometers, finishing third with a career-high of 13: five, 7. 6 five. Time ranks sixth of all time in Notre Dame’s record e-book for five kilometres indoors.
Colton Crum took the first position in the pole vault, crossing a mark of 5. 15 m. Victory is Crum’s seventh college career and his moment in so many other games this season.
Earlier in the day, graduate Katie Wasserman ran alone and ruled the first 5km indoor track of her career at the GVSU Big Meet, winning the race in 16:11. 82. Wasserman will be the Irishwoman in the season at the end of this spring.
DAY TWO
Tanczos the only athlete in action on Saturday in the Music City Challenge, competing in the weight throw. The senior finished fifth with a more productive pitch of the 14. 84 m season.
