After being closed for about seven months due to the blockade imposed across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic, cinemas and schools in several states are expected to reopen on Thursday, while meetings have also been allowed with restrictions.
Although recent trends recommend that the spike in Covid-19 infection in India may be over, new “unlocking” measures (reopening schools, theaters, and devotee meetings) pose a significant threat like Sars-CoV-2, the virus that reasons for coronavirus disease can seamlessly spread to enclosed spaces such as cinemas and auditoriums. Young people in the womb can get the disease and take it home where there may be other people who are more vulnerable, and if other people don’t remain safe, crowds at festivals can catch the infection.
Due to the dangers associated with returning to normal, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said Wednesday: “The next two and a half months are going to be very much for us in our fight against the crown due to the winter season and festival season. It becomes the duty of each and every citizen not to let their guard down and stick to Covid’s proper habit of stopping the spread of infection”.
Here’s everything you want to know about the latest unlock phase.
