Tal Prihar admitted to accepting bitcoin bills in the darknet markets in search of sponsorship links.

One of the news directors of the DeepDotWeb darknet has pleaded guilty to federal money laundering conspiracy fees, the U. S. Department of Justice announced Wednesday.

Tal Prihar, a 37-year-old Israeli in Brazil, admitted to receiving 8,155 BTC (worth $8. 4 million at the time) from distributors whose illicit products he had connected as a former administrator of the now-defunct blog.

He also admitted moving cryptography to a network of phantom corporations to fund.

Prosecutors have described Prihar as an “intermediary” for drug and arms dealers whose illicit products are beyond the success of Google and other exploration robots. Users of the unindexed dark Internet want to know where to look in advance, but with DeepDotWeb, one of the best known dark Internet sites from 2013 to 2019, they have been discovered in a position guide.

Prosecutors said he identified DeepDotWeb as a “gateway to many dark Internet markets” that rewarded him with Bitcoin bribes for each order submitted through his website.

FBI agents confiscated the DeepDotWeb domain in May 2019 for cash laundering. Prihar and Michael Phan, Israeli, were arrested and charged a short time later. Phhan’s case is ongoing.

Prihar agreed to lose $8. 4 million, prosecutors said. His sentence is scheduled for August 2. You may face a maximum sentence of 20 years.
