A water park near Scarborough will open a new café in June, and hope to serve alcohol and play live music.
North Yorkshire Water Park managers, founded in Wykeham Lake, have implemented a license that asks the company to sell alcohol and play live music until 11pm seven days a week.
The park would be open until midnight, the application to Scarborough Council says.
Gareth Davies, leader of the North Yorkshire water park, said: “The new café at the water park will open in June.

“With a cobbled terrace overlooking the lake, the new 70-seat café will be the best place to have breakfast, coffee or lunch.
“Improving the restaurant, such as a spacious personal room, will make coffee an ideal place for parties and corporate team building events.
“Coffee will offer its consumers bottled beers and a variety of wines. We also plan to organize wine tasting evenings and a circle of family receptions. “
Last year, the water park granted a year-round license through the city council.
The park opened in 2017, providing two water challenge tracks along pedal boats and open water swimming and, more recently, a “water park area” composed of inflatable appliances that form a circuit of aquatic impediments.
A momentary expansion added two 240 m long wakeboard lines, a new block and a new reception building next to the on-site cafeteria.
