42 acres of Wimbledon to build across 73 acres
Imbledon ratings will not be played on the All England Club’s online page until 2029, according to a consultation exercise with local residents.
Wimbledon Park Golf Club was bought for 64 million pounds through the All England Club in 2018 with the aim of expanding the championships and bringing the rankings to the box from 2025.
But this procedure is now expected to be delayed and still depends on the plan-making authority of local councils.
The consultation paper told citizens: “If we get a construction in London’s Merton and Wandsworth districts, it will take at least six years to build the new tennis courts.
“It will take at least two years for those courts to be ripe to be used in championships. “

This means that the ratings remain at their classic Roehampton base for the foreseeable future.
The acquisition of the land two years ago, which resulted in a payment of 86,000 euros for golf club members, will increase the length of the existing 42-acre Wimbledon across another 73 acres.
