HUDSON VALLEY, NY – New York is expanding the number of immediate selling options where the new coronavirus can be performed.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said 25 new sites would open thursday in the state, 4 in the decline and in the middle of the Hudson Valley.
Ten more sites will open in the next two weeks, bringing the state total to 70.
The public-private partnership, first announced in the State of Cuomo State address in February, provides quick and cheap tests that the public has for greater economic activity as the state continues to reopen sectors of the economy.
Cuomo said he is under pressure that testing is a key detail in the reopening of the economy and that the expansion of New York’s immediate testing program will help the state in its follow-up measurements and capabilities.
“These immediate new sites will be an invaluable team for communities and businesses as they will provide an extra layer of coverage as New Yorkers resume their economic activities,” he said in a ready statement.
New Yorkers can find a check and make an appointment here, and download evidence of the negative result of their check at the state Excelsior Pass, presented last month.
The governor’s workplace said many of those sites would open in or near arenas, stadiums, and venues, complementing the state’s reopening guidelines, which allow professional sports competitions with enthusiasts and other entertainment occasions to resume if all participants provide evidence of a recent negative COVID. 19 check or immunization. Of course, they will also have to stick to more fitness and protection protocols, adding social distance, face blankets and fitness checkups.
Providers participating in the network must provide immediate testing for up to $30, provide Tested Americans with their effects within 30 minutes, provide a way to plan tests in advance, and report effects to the state.
