MLB: nine groups with a vaccination rate of 85% to facilitate protocols

NEW YORK (AP) – Major League Baseball say that in nine groups 85% of players, coaches and others with Level 1 won their maximum dose of the coronavirus vaccine, allowing those clubs to lighten some conditioning and protection protocols.

Four of these groups have already started with some protocols after 85% or more of the Americans in point 1 have achieved full vaccination, meaning they have at least two weeks off their final dose of vaccination. Five other groups have exceeded the 85% threshold for vaccine injections in more than two weeks and can criteria once this waiting season has passed.

The league also said on a Friday that 81% of Tier 1 Americans are believed to be partially or fully vaccinated. The press release does not specify which groups have crossed the 85% threshold.

MLB said it discovered 4 new positive tests this week (two primary league players, two players from the site of choice) out of 11,547 tests conducted so far this season, there have been 43 overall positive tests of 135,317 tests, a positive rate of 0. 03% Twenty groups tested positive in at least one test user.
