A Colorado-based company plans to bring a music campus of more than 30,000 square feet to downtown Gainesville.
B Entertainment announced Thursday that it is in negotiations with the city of Gainesville to expand a 15,000-square-foot concert hall directly across West Academy Street from Poultry Park. Plans also come with a 9,000-square-foot Bourbon Brothers Smokehouse and Tavern. place to eat and a 8,000-square-foot terrace, according to the announcement.
“We plan to build a campus that completely complements the historic architecture of Downtown Square while providing amenities found only at concert venues and entertainment around the world,” J. W. , CEO of B Entertainment. Roth, said in a statement.
“We are very happy to join the city of Gainesville to finalize our plan with the city in the coming months and open in the first part of 2022. “
The company, which is the parent entity of several entertainment venues and restaurants, adding Bourbon Brothers, said it expects the new venue to host around a hundred concerts a year.
The city’s plans to renovate Poultry Park, a new parking lot, are taking position along with plans for the new concert hall.
Planned for 323 Broad St. SW, B Entertainment’s new place and place to eat would be complemented by a rooftop bourbon bar, and the collection of spaces would be concentrated around the fireplaces.
A city spokesman said Engine 209, a preserved on-site exercise, will be incorporated into Midland at the intersection of Grove and Davis streets, approximately one mile south of its long-standing location.
