Organizers of the Glastonbury Festival said their site, Worthy Farm in Pilton, would be called Worthy Pastures and a circle of relatives to camp this summer.
The 147,000-person festival, which won a grant of 900,000 euros for the circular moment of the Cultural Recovery Fund, cancelled in January for the time being year in a row.
Glastonbury will host a live event with a price ticket to the festival in May. The five-hour global event broadcast live on Saturday 22 May will be produced and promoted through Driift along with BBC Studios Production.
In a statement, Glastonbury organizers said: “In the absence of a festival at Worthy Farm for a time of the year in a row in 2021, Michael and Emily Eavis are pleased to invite campers, for just one year, to observe the farm in a way I’ve never been before.
“Note that Worthy Pastures is a party place: there will be no live music, sound systems will be allowed and a curfew will be put on after 11 pm. Instead, come for nature, new air, calm and tranquility.
