After nearly a year of quarantine bubbles to safely restart productions in his Atlanta studio, Tyler Perry finishes protocol and his production team is vaccinated. Tyler Perry Studios will finish his quarantine bubble on April 10, and he can confirm it.
Perry, who emptioned in January and has been very candid in building confidence in vaccine protection, recently set up a vaccination site in his studies for his production teams, as well as for his circle of close family and friends.
In collaboration with Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Perry covered the logistical prices of the vaccination site, while Grady administered the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine to more than 250 people last Saturday.
The vaccine is not mandatory for those who worked in the studio, but open to anyone in the studio who wanted to be photographed but had not yet won it.
More than part of Perry’s production team has won at least the first dose of the vaccine, and Grady is expected to return later this month to administer the dose so far.
As the study quarantine bubble draws to a close, box productions will adhere to strict COVID-19 protection protocols to ensure the fitness and well-being of all workers on site and in execution in productions.
Perry and his team were able to continue running and generating for the pandemic maximum, and were among the first to return to the set, largely thanks to the bubble that started early in lockdown.
Speaking to ET’s Nischelle Turner in August, Perry talked about specialized mandates and procedures that had been developed for the protection and employment of all.
Perry created a set of 30-page protective instructions, transforming his studies into what he called “Camp Quarantine”. He was able to film full seasons of BET’s Sistas and The Oval in just two weeks.
“As I realize it, I’m going up. So I know I have it, I know if I have the plans,” he said of his immediate production process. “I have a team, the actors are in a position to go. They’ve had their scripts for months. Not a single line is lost. It’s pretty amazing. “
