As Las Vegas’ soccer profile continues with the city winning an NFL franchise and pac-12 championship game, a prominent local leader is also looking to attract famous school football in the normal season, said Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority CEO Steve Hill. The Mercury News would like to take on pac-12 groups opposing SEC and Big Ten schools in the coming seasons for early-season demo games at the new Allegiant Stadium.
“Everything that works works even better in Las Vegas,” Hill told Mercury News.
There is still a debate about whether the systems derive more advantage from participating in large-scale unbiased site competitions rather than betting on campus sites, where revenue from gates and revenue from concessions can reach the sports department’s coffers. you would compete in unbiased games on the site, yet it is unprecedented.
