Work is underway on another residential tower in Dallas, this one in Oak Lawn.

A Turtle Creek skyscraper is planned near Cedar Springs Road and Turtle Creek.

It is an assignment from USA Infrastructure Investments, a genuine real estate company led by Dallas developer Paul Cheng.

Last September, the genuine real estate company purchased a progression on Dickason Avenue, one block from Cedar Springs.

Now developers have submitted plans to the state for a 17-story, 17-unit residential construction.

Work on the assignment would begin this summer with an opening in early 2023, according to the preparation documents.

“We’re running to get started this fall,” Cheng said in an email.

Lucien Lagrange Studio in Chicago designed the building.

Developer Cheng has carried out projects in North Texas since 1979, and USA Infrastructure Investments is lately making deals in Southern California, Hawaii and Texas cities.

The Oak Lawn residential tower planned through the genuine real estate corporation is located at a location where many new structures are being built, and is also close to the Mansion on Turtle Creek Hotel.

It’s two blocks from where developers announced plans for a $750 million Four Seasons hotel, condos and offices in Turtle Creek.

In the Oak Lawn neighborhood, Toll Brothers, a 22-story skyscraper on Congress Avenue.

And on Oak Lawn Avenue, Austin developer Oden Hughes and the North American Development Group in Canada are building a 7-story residential assignment next to the well-known Melrose Hotel.

With fewer sites in Dallas’ Uptown red light district, developers are migrating to nearby Oak Lawn.
