Few things rival a refreshing smoothie in the hot summer months.
This summer season, Butler County has more to offer than any malted: through the addition of a secret shake society member, you can view original smoothie creations for a limited time through local businesses.
The Secret Shake Society was established in the summer of 2019 through the Butler County Visitors Bureau and is back for the third year in a row.
“The Butler County Visitors Bureau is looking for new and artistic tactics to showcase Butler County’s amazing businesses. With so much culinary creativity within our borders, we think there’s no better way to celebrate summer than with limited-time smoothies. at local ice cream stands and restaurants, “said Tracy Kocher of the Butler County Visitors Bureau.
The Secret Shake Society isn’t so much secret as fun, in a word, you send a signal to a member via email, you get a biweekly newsletter detailing the smoothie presented and you’ll enjoy it before it leaves the menu. and open to all and costs are set through sole proprietorship.

This year, there will be nine outstanding shakes from nine other food establishments.
The first secret drink on the menu of the season announced on May 27: the “strawberry cake shake” with pieces of strawberries, a slice of cake, a popsicle and whipped cream, handmade through Sweden Creme in Hamilton. the end of the week, before the announcement of the next shake of the program.
The tasty concoctions are left in the hands of the leading company.
Flavors from years past have included Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop’s “Breakfast Shake” with cereal mallows, gummy fried eggs and a chocolate-coated strip of bacon; Shake “Monster Pumpkin Pie” from Karma in the Kitchen with chocolate eyes a slice of pumpkin pie; and flipside liberty lime pie.
