(CNN) – Starting Friday, any New York City resident who gets a first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in a city-administered vaccine will get $100.
Mayor Bill de Blasio on Wednesday announced the new Covid-19 incentive, as the city has noticed a stable buildup in Covid-19 instances in recent weeks.
The incentive is open to all local citizens and workers who have yet to win a first dose of vaccine.
Those who have an email will receive a $100 virtual debit card upon receiving their first Covid-19 vaccine at a city-run site. Those who don’t have an email will receive a physical prepaid debit card in the mail, Rachel said. Loeb, president of NYC Economic Development Corporation.
Anyone who doesn’t need cash can receive some other incentive, such as tickets to the New York City Football Club, tickets to the Brooklyn Cyclones, a pass for 10 ferry trips to New York City and more.
