Officials today held a “completion ceremony” at the Harry M. Cornell at 212 West 7th St. in Joplin.
The design groups worked for five months and the final beam of any metal design was signed and placed.
Connect to Culture President and CEO Clifford Wert, who is also treasurer of the Cornell Complex project, said the new facility would provide the city with a new venue for exhibits of all kinds.
“The Beshore theater has a capacity of 470 seats on the front stage, but an even greater capacity for other people who would possibly be sitting on the floor and/or just standing,” Wert says. “We can also get six hassle-free. or seven hundred for an indoor performance. “
This is Clifford Wert, president and chief financial officer of Connect to Culture in Joplin, who says a new generation of citizens is creating an exciting long term for Joplin and the 4-state region.
