Mineral exploration company Galvanic Energy has secured a country that it says will produce 4 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) for use in lithium-ion batteries.

The 100,000-acre galvanic site in the Smackwater Formation of Arkansas enriched concentrations of lithium and bromine dissolved in brine.

The company estimates that the resources will be sufficient to force more than 50 million vehicles.

The inferred estimate makes this prospectus the largest lithium brine prospectus in North America.

Brent Wilson, President and CEO of Galvanic, said: “Given the existing dependence on the U. S. U. S. In a foreign lithium chain, this resource has the possibility of explaining this objective, since it particularly expands the option of self-sufficiency in lithium.

Historical analyses of brine in this region, in 3 separate studies, involve significant resource potential for lithium and bromine, with average concentrations of 325 servings consistent with millions (ppm) and 4,000 ppm, respectively.

Unlike traditional lithium extraction methods, which require open pit mines or evaporation ponds, brine extraction operations use a closed-loop system.

The brine is pumped out of the earth, those of interest are extracted, and the brine is returned to the Smackover Formation, a geological formation that preserves fossils dating back to the Jurassic period.
